Are you passionate about baseball and softball? Do you have a keen eye for detail and a love for the game? If so, we want you to join our team as an umpire for the Big Walnut Little League. We are seeking enthusiastic individuals who are committed to ensuring fair play and sportsmanship in youth baseball and softball games.

Position: Umpire

• Location: Fields at various locations in Sunbury, OH
• Type: Part-time, Seasonal
• Pay: Field Umpire-$20; Plate Umpire-$30; Solo game (calling behind the plate and field calls)-$50

Responsibilities:

• Officiate youth baseball and softball games according to the rules and regulations set forth by the Big Walnut Baseball and Softball Association.
• Ensure fair play and sportsmanship among players, coaches, and spectators.
• Make calls on plays, including balls, strikes, safe/out, and fair/foul.
• Communicate effectively with players, coaches, and fellow umpires.
• Maintain a professional demeanor at all times.

Requirements:

• Knowledge of baseball and softball rules and regulations.
• Previous umpiring experience preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to make quick, decisive judgments in high-pressure situations.
• Availability to work evenings and weekends during the baseball and softball season.
• Must be reliable and punctual.
